Title: Cosmic ray observations as probes into their propagation in interstellar medium Abstract: Cosmic rays are inevitably affected by magnetic fields, and they cannot be directly used to point back to their sources. Their energy spectrum and arrival direction distribution on Earth results from the overlap of several effects across their entire history, from generation and acceleration to propagation across the interstellar plasmas. Although disentangling all the individual contributions is likely an impossible task, the detailed study of their distribution may provide useful for the understanding of the magnetic filed properties. The availability of more precise cosmic ray measurements is likely to make such a task easier with time. This presentation is an overview of the present status.
