Studies of forward particle production with LHCb Abstract: LHCb is the smallest of the four large LHC experiments. The excellent tracking, vertexing and particle identification capabilities of the detector allow to study particle production at polar angles between 10 and 250 mrad with respect to the beam. Initially designed for heavy flavour physics in proton-proton collisions, the physics scope nowadays covers also QCD and electroweak physics, as well as the study of proton-ion and fixed target interactions. For the different environments accessible to the experiment, the talk will focus on production measurements in the forward region.
