Relativistic Jets from Active Galactic Nuclei

This talk will provide a brief introduction into the phenomenology of relativistic

jets from active galactic nuclei (AGN) and an overview of current models for

the high-energy emission from jetted AGN. Special emphasis will be put on

including information gained from the observation of time-variable optical

polarization and prospects for future observations of polarization in X-rays

and gamma-rays.
